THE MUSIC BY THE BAY STAGE at JACK HYDE PARK
Originally from Chico CA, Steve Cooley has been performing and recording since the late sixties opening for many major acts including Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Robert Cray, Little Charlie and the Nightcats , Rod Piazza, and Tower of Power. He has shared the stage many times with blues legend Sonny Rhodes in the San Francisco Bay Area before relocating to Tacoma, Washington in 1991. There, Steve started the "Steve Cooley Blues Band" and was nominated in 1995 as WA Blues Society's "Best New Blues Band". The band's CD titled "Foolin' Around" featured unique renditions of blues classics as well as some of Steve's original songs. Lead guitarist for the recently disbanded "Loose Gravel and the Quarry", Steve has now formed "Steve Cooley and the Dangerfields" featuring Johnny Burgess on keyboards, Rich Nesbitt on bass, and a new drummer, Gary Marcello. Get ready for some "Dangerously Hot Rockin' Blues"!
