International Marketplace

Over 100 artists, craft vendors, and commercial exhibitors will join together on the Tacoma waterfront this Fourth of July to form a colorful and bustling international marketplace. The merchants offer a wide assortment of toys, clothing, jewelry, works of art, crafts, home decorations, personal services, and so much more. The waterfront market is a super place to shop for those hard-to-find items. Be sure to take a look at the hand-made products from all over the Pacific Northwest and around the world. Bring your checkbook and comfortable shoes!
A Freedom Fair “International Food Court” is the place to bring a big appetite! Three big locations on Ruston Way are filled with great food. Don’t miss the group of food vendors by the Les Davis Pier in addition to the original food court location between Northern Fish Co. and the Silver Cloud Inn and Dickman Mill Park (check out the directions & maps page). This Fourth of July leave your ice chest and picnic basket at home. You shouldn't be cooking this holiday! Treat the whole gang to some of the best food you'll find at any festival this year. Dozens of food vendors will be offering up tasty treats from around the world and American favorites too.
The food booths will set up along the Ruston Way waterfront offering specialties from the Caribbean, Thailand, Bavaria, Polynesia, Mexico, Greece, Peru, the Mediterranean, Japan and China, as well as those good ol’ American favorites you love. Pace yourself, and enjoy mouth-watering favorites such as flame-broiled barbecue ribs, teriyaki chicken or beef, stir-fry vegetables, and Yakisoba noodles. Other offerings include tacos, nachos, quesadillas, burritos, fajitas, hand-dipped ice-cream bars, curly fries, and tropical shaved ice. Still hungry? Try roasted corn-on-the-cob or potatoes, Philly steak sandwiches, or fresh fruit blended drinks, strawberry skewers, elephant ears, sundaes, kettle corn, and corn dogs. You’ll also find pizza and those great 4th of July standbys: traditional hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, root beer floats, and ice-cold lemonade.
